We had such a fantastic day yesterday.
You really have not lived until you’ve seen Guille crack himself up so hard he almost cries.
Kate had a parking pass that meant she could drive us down to the mall and park SUPER CLOSE. The NPS area was a fenced off space and we had to check in and wear wrist bands. We sat right near the fence so people kept asking us how we got in. One lady came over and asked and Kate very politely replied and then Aaron leaned forward to Kate and whispered “White privilege,” and I don’t know it was so funny, but also a little true and I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.
UGH THE TEARS REMIND ME THAT I HAVE A HUMAN HEART
I KNOW RIGHT? I think a lot of the adults in the room teared up.
We spent all of today with Kate and Guille and Guille’s mom, dad & sister. They are as awesome, funny and loving as you might think and it was so fun to get to be with them and I’m just so happy Guille and Kate found each other and that we are lucky enough to be a part of their lives and NO YOU HAVE SOMETHING IN YOUR EYE!
