What app is that? What iPad stand is that?

The app is Pepperplate, which is AMAZING. Aaron and I have it on our iPads and phones and you can access it on-line and everything stays synced. I tried it based on Lindsay’s recommendation and Toni’s vocal concurrence.

The stand also came by way of Lindsay’s recommendation. It is the Belkin Kitchen Cabinet Mount for iPads.

This pleases me. Lindsay is wise.

This woobie is giving me performance anxiety.

It took me forever to figure out how to read the pattern and then I somehow left off a spoke on the first round and have to trash this square.

Giganto-sigh.

I WILL CONQUER THE GRANNY SQUARE!

lindstifa:

When you’re hurting is anything more comforting than snuggling up in a handmade blanket? I don’t think so. That’s why we’re starting the Tumblr Woobie Project, to make a blanket by hand to share with people within our community who are going through a hard time.

We’re looking for crocheters to get us started. The pattern we chose has 5 different granny square patterns. We need 12 of each square pattern, or a total of 60 squares for the complete blanket.

The pattern is available for free on Ravelry. Here are the guidelines to consider:

  • You can use whatever colors you like. This is a great opportunity to clean out your stash.
  • No animal fibers - cotton, hemp, acrylics, etc., only. (We don’t want to exclude people with allergies.) Please be mindful of shrinkage factors with regards to the next point…
  • Use the recommended yarn weight and hook size to get as close to the same gauge as possible. If you know you stitch loose or tight make your normal adjustments.

To sign up just put a message in my ask box and let me know which squares you are doing and how many of each. I’ll keep track so we don’t have too many or too few.

I’ll probably ask for a volunteer or two to help with the seaming as well, so if you’d be interested in that let me know.

Feel free to askbox me if you have any questions. Big thanks to Nicky and Marley for their help in picking out the pattern and getting the guidelines set.

Ok. Go!

I’m hoping to use this weekend to get started!!!
