Too Much Information

I don’t think anger and processing anger are the same thing. We can’t really control our base emotions, we can only control what we do with them. 

Right now I am having some angry feelings. They might have some justification, but they aren’t really fair.  I’m not feeling guilty for feeling angry, but I think I have a responsibility to process these feelings and move past them. 

Evidently my process involves leaving work early and getting a manicure and pedicure.

  1. tj said: We can control some of it. We can’t just say “I don’t like/want this feeling, go away.” But we can try not to dwell on it. We can acknowledge it and then try to do things which make us feel better and/or distract us. So: well done!
