Matt and I went to see my Dad’s Fire Fighter’s Museum today. It’s in the same building as the Cradle of Aviation museum, so we walked through that as well. Of all the things we saw, from one of Charles Lindbergh’s Spirit of St. Louis planes to sitting in a Blue Angels simulator, this is was stuck with me.
This display grabbed me. I was motionless, caught in a time warp. I could feel the way the vinyl covered the cardboard. That distinct plastic smell. The way it all folded down. Oh, the places I would pretend we were going.
I forgot I had this toy. Until today.
This was my FAVORITE. I loved it so.
